Course Overview

Design Spaces. Tell Stories. Drive Retail Experiences.

The Visual Merchandising course is designed to develop creative and commercially aware professionals who can transform retail spaces into engaging brand and customer experiences. The course combines principles of design, fashion, retail, consumer behaviour, and spatial presentation to help students understand how visual elements influence customer perception and purchasing decisions.

Students explore the complete visual merchandising process, from brand research and concept development to store planning, window displays, mannequin styling, product presentation, lighting, signage, and in-store communication. They learn how to translate a brand's identity into cohesive and visually compelling retail environments.

The course places strong emphasis on hands-on learning, with practical projects involving store layouts, window displays, mannequin styling, seasonal campaigns, retail audits, and e-commerce visual merchandising. Students also gain an understanding of current retail trends, experiential retail, omnichannel presentation, and sustainable display practices.
