Course Overview
Turn your ideas into visual experiences.
The Visual Arts & Communication programme at MODO is designed for students who see the world visually and want to turn ideas, stories and perspectives into compelling creative work. The course brings together art, design, photography, graphic communication, styling, digital media and visual storytelling, giving students the skills to communicate creatively across today’s fashion, lifestyle, media and brand industries.
The programme begins with the fundamentals of drawing, colour, composition, design and visual culture, and progressively moves into photography, illustration, graphic design, typography, branding, art direction, fashion communication and digital content. Students learn not only how to create visually strong work, but also how to develop a concept, communicate an idea and build a distinctive creative point of view.
Learning is strongly practice-led, with projects, workshops, live briefs, industry interactions and portfolio development forming an integral part of the experience. Students are encouraged to experiment across disciplines, work with different media and develop their own creative language.
By the end of the programme, students graduate with a versatile creative skill set, a professional portfolio and the confidence to work across the evolving worlds of fashion, media, branding, advertising, content and visual communication.
